Surgical services are available 24/7. Our doctors are
equipped to handle
common soft tissue surgeries that often present as emergencies, for
example: bloat, splenic bleeding, lacerations, proptosed eye. Specialists
are also available by appointment for referral type procedures such as
laryngeal tie-back, TPLO for cruciate injury, thoracic surgery, surgery
for various cancers.
Of great importance to our doctors and staff, is pain
management. We want
your pet to feel comfortable no matter the surgery. In veterinary
medicine, we are keeping pace with human medicine when it comes to pain
management. We watch patients closely for subtle signs of discomfort and
try to ‘stay ahead’ of their pain. Planned procedures which are likely
to
be painful, will often provide for pain management strategies the day
prior to the surgery. Preventing the pain is the best way to manage the
pain. Don’t hesitate to ask us how we can help your pet be most
comfortable during and after their surgery.
