Digital Radiography
Digital x-rays create a sharp image that can be darkened or lightened, altered to closely evaluate an area of interest and most importantly, be sent to a boarded Veterinary Radiologist for review. This technology is especially useful in evaluating lung and bone.
Digital technology is expensive and new to veterinary medicine. It is not yet available in most practices. We often see patients referred by their veterinarian when a sharp image of a particular part of the body may help with a diagnosis or a consult with a Veterinary Radiologist is indicated in a timely manner. |
